The Oasis Reunion: What Friday Night Meant to All of Us

Many thought it would never come.
In fact, most would’ve bet their last tenner it couldn’t.
Too much damage. Too much ego. Too many years.
But on Friday night… it happened.

Liam strolled out, grabbed Noel's arm in one and thrust his maracas in the air with the other — and for the first time in 16 long, stubborn, life changing years, Oasis were back.

We didn’t all get to be there. Some of us tried and missed out.
Some of us got tickets, but still have to wait — watching every clip online like hungry fans outside a chip shop window.
And some, like me, just sat back and watched the internet melt as the greatest band of our time took that stage.

But whether you were front row, refreshing X, or halfway through a shift… you felt it.

It wasn’t just a gig.
It was a moment.
It was proof that maybe some things are still worth believing in.

You see, for those of us who grew up with these songs — or found them later when life felt a bit too heavy — Oasis wasn’t background noise.
It was therapy. It was identity. It was that feeling that someone, somewhere got it.

Friday night gave us all a bit of that back.

And now? Now it’s not just a rumour. Not just pub talk.
It’s real. It’s happening.
They’re on the road again. Together.
(And for the fortunate ones who have tickets, no longer are we pondering if they were worth the price. they were. Every god damn penny.)

At Millsy & Kin, this is the heartbeat behind why we do what we do.
Not fast fashion. Not trend-chasing.
Just the stuff that makes you feel something.
Music. Memory. Meaning. Kinship.

Friday night wasn’t just about two brothers finding a way back.
It was about all of us finding a bit of magic again.

It took us all back to a time when life felt simpler. We didn't appreciate it at the time, but the 90's and early noughties were a special time. No social media, no zombies who rarely look up from their phones... we played out in the street until the streetlights came on without a smart phone in sight and the only headphones were those attached to a Walkman.

Whether you were there in Cardiff on Friday, or you're still waiting for your night…
Whether you're reliving it in your head, or counting down the days until that first chord hits where you are —

You're Kin.
And this one's for you.
