We gave away one of our Oasis t-shirts the other day — completely free — and weirdly, it was more profitable than almost all of the ones we’ve sold.
Welcome to the world of trying to build a proper, independent UK brand in 2025.
We do things properly:
-
Original designs or official licensed merch — not stolen graphics.
-
UK-based fulfilment and partners we trust — not mystery factories.
-
Orders packed with care — not churned out by faceless warehouses.
-
And yes — we pay tax, VAT, and Corporation Tax like every other legitimate business.
We’re a registered Limited Company.
We’re VAT registered.
And when we finally get to a point where we make a real profit, we’ll be taxed on that too.
That’s before we even talk about the platform fees, printing costs, shipping, packaging, admin tools, advertising, customer support, and the time — the endless hours — that go into every single order.
And what did we get before we even launched?
Warned off by Warner Music.
We used an Oasis track in a teaser post on Facebook— not to sell anything, just to set the tone.
Their lawyers weren’t having it.
Meanwhile, TikTok is full of fake merch stores using copyrighted tracks, bootleg designs, stolen art — and if one gets banned? They just set up another account. New name, same scam.
No consequences. No paper trail. Just rinse, repeat.
Us? We don’t get that luxury. We don't want it.
We want to be different to what society tells us is now the norm.
We have responsibilities.
We have rules to follow.
We chose to do this properly — but let’s not pretend the system rewards that choice.
We’ve had customers buy a single keyring that cost us more to post than the customer paid for the keyring.
We’ve sent out replacement tees at our own cost, even when our policy didn’t require it — because it was the right thing to do.
Every order we fulfil, every design we launch — we do it with care, pride, and accountability. Not just to you, but to the artists we admire, the bands we love, and the values we built this brand on.
Some of our range is made to order.
Some, like our official Oasis Tees, is stocked and shipped directly by us.
None of it is easy. All of it is real.
We’re not chasing clout.
We’re not here to trick the algorithm.
We’re here to build something that lasts.
For those of you who have put your trust in us - thank you. We appreciate your trust and it justifies our decision to do this the right way. Even if HMRC are making more out of it than we are.
For Kin. Everywhere.
Built with pride. Backed with purpose. Made to last.
